The Medium

A printed photograph becomes a threshold: through the screen of a tablet, the still image opens into sound and movement.

The Medium is an augmented reality work in which a photograph printed on canvas is completed by a second layer, visible only through a tablet held in front of the print.

The title holds both senses of the word: the material support of an image, and the person through whom spirits are said to speak.
